With the festive season out of the way it’s time to book that vacation in Scotland in 2025.
Thanksgiving and Christmas is over for another year and we have brought in the New Year, spent time with the loved ones, swapped presents and shared laughs. (and most likely overindulged!) It is no wonder that we feel a bit flat in January. One sure fire way to beat the January blues is by booking that once in a lifetime holiday you have been putting off.
Early in 2025 is the best time to book that Vacation in Scotland you have been promising yourself. Simply get in touch with us here at Inspiring Travel Scotland and we will put everything in place for you, airport transfers, hotels, reservations, sight seeing and of course your very own Driver/Guide for a few days to escort you around our beautiful country.
Just leave it all to us and we will come up with your once in a lifetime Vacation in Scotland in 2025. With our years of experience and 5-star reviews from all our previous customers (something we are rightly very proud of), we know exactly how to tailor a trip to our client’s needs.
Some of the Highlights of Scotland
The Highlands
Imagine vast mountain vistas rising from sea level enveloping the lush gorse and heather of the hills and glens. The moody cloudy skies broken up by the golden rays of the sun. Shining down on Lush valleys below, shimmering on the water of the Lochs, as the ruined Castles keep watch and gaze down from their perch on the high ground, to where the Deer roam below.
All those features make up just some of the characteristics of the Scottish Highlands, not to mention the cosy pubs and quaint hotels and fantastically warm and friendly people you will meet along the way.
The Islands
The islands of Scotland are multiple archipelagos off the country’s west coast and the Orkney and Shetland Islands off the northern tip.
The islands can be reached by ferry or, in the case of Skye, by bridge. However, do keep in mind that public transport infrastructure in the Highlands is basic, and buses and trains can be very irregular, also driving on the country roads is very tricky, to say the least. For these reasons alone, the ideal way to visit the Scottish Highlands is taking an escorted tour. Our tailor-made Scotland trips nearly always include at least one of the islands.
What to see and do when you visit the Highlands & Islands
There are so many iconic sights in the Highlands that this blog post would stretch on forever if we tried to fit them all in!
Some people think riding the Jacobite Steam Train across the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct (which you’re sure to recognise from the Harry Potter films) is the ultimate must-do. Fans should check out our list of Scottish locations Harry Potter fans must visit!
For others, a short hike on the Isle of Skye, is non-negotiable. Or for those that do not want to walk, perhaps a scenic boat trip, to spot Sea Eagles & Dolphins or a scenic drive to take in all the beautiful hotspots and highlights.
In between seeing the sights, have a rest in a cosy pub. Sample the many acclaimed restaurants with menus built around local produce. And, of course, tour some of the irresistible distilleries in Scotland. Simply get in touch with us and will put together a tour doing all these things and more. A trip of a lifetime for your Vacation in Scotland in 2025.
Reasons to book early for 2025?
There are lots of reasons to get things booked nice and early for your Vacation in Scotland in 2025, not least of which being the savings that can be made by doing so. Often there are sales on with the airlines for flights. Here at Inspiring Travel Scotland we are giving an early bird special discount offer for people who book their trip by the end of next month.
The practicalities of booking early for a tour of Scotland, as it is a very popular destination from Spring until Winter and we do not have the rooms to keep up with demand. The most beautiful parts of Scotland that people want to see as part of their tours tend not to have an abundance of hotel rooms and accommodations. When you leave things until later it tends to mean disappointment as hotels and tours are often unavailable due to demand.
