You will be met at the airport of your choice in the arrivals hall by your chauffeur who will transfer you to your first hotel. You will then be transferred to your 5-star hotel in Edinburgh, The Waldorf Caledonian, the perfect start to a dream vacation, your room has a stunning view of Edinburgh Castle.
Today you will be able to visit Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Yacht and Holyrood Palace and we have also provided a ticket for transport between the sites.
This evening you will be guests at an exclusive Whisky Tasting Event that is usually reserved for members only.
Today after an early breakfast you will be met at your hotel by your friendly Driver/Guide. After a warm welcome to Scotland and introductions your Private Guided Tour of our beautiful country begins in earnest.
The first stop on your Private Tour around Scotland will be Bannockburn, where you will learn about a moment that is pivotal in Scotland’s ancient history.
Next you will visit Glengoyne Distillery where you have a tour of the Distillery. After which, you will continue your journey through the scenically stunning Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park where you will skirt the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond, backdrop for many a scene from Outlander.
Today you pass through the awe inspiring landscape of Glen Coe, scene of the infamous tale of clan rivalry and warfare between the Campbell Clan and MacDonald Clan where your Driver/Guide will immerse you in the myth and legend of the area. You will see 3 mountains known as the 3 sisters, not to mention countless other scenic wonders as you travel through this beautiful part of Scotland.
After a lovely day of sightseeing you will be transferred by your Driver/Guide to your fantastic heritage property to your Suite that overlooks Loch Leven, previously the seat of a Scottish Laird, The Glencoe House.
Your scenic tour continues, you will be collected by your Driver/Guide. Today you will travel through Fort William and glimpse the highest peak in the UK – Ben Nevis.
Your 1st class journey on a Steam Train will invoke a bygone era as you make your way across stunning scenery and glimpse the Lone Highlander. His statue at the foot of Loch Shiel that marks the site of the raising of the Stewart standard by Charles Edward Stewart, otherwise known as Bonnie Prince Charlie and the beginning of the Jacobite rebellion.
Next you will stop at the Talisker Whisky distillery to tour the distillery and sample its delights. Skye truly is remarkable, we have no doubt you will be impressed. You may wish to stop from time to time for photos and to get a better glimpse of the magnificent Cuillins or just continue the scenic drive around the island taking in all it has to offer.
You will also have the chance to photograph the jaw dropping backdrop of the astounding Eilean Donan Castle on route to your next hotel near the banks of Loch Ness you will also stop at a wonderful viewpoint to take in the fantastic panoramic view.
Today you venture into Loch Ness, the home of the Loch Ness Monster or Nessie as she is affectionately known. Today you also visit the battlefield of Culloden. Site of the final land battle in Scotland and the UK.
Stroll the battlefield and surrounding area with your Driver/Guide as he gives you an insight into the battle and the history & culture that few other visitors to Scotland will get to experience.
The final part of the day will consist of visits to 2 Speyside distilleries, Glenfarclas which is a smaller family run distillery and the larger more famous Aberlour. Each fascinating tour will give you an insight into the whisky making process, each tour will last an hour to an hour and half and you will be able to nose some of the whiskys as well as get a few wee drams at the end.
After today’s sightseeing you will be dropped off at your luxury 5-star hotel near the battle of Culloden, a place steeped in the history and culture and fabric of Scotland and was the HQ of Bonnie Prince Charlie on the eve of battle – The Culloden House.
Although Today brings your trip around Scotland to a close your scenic journey through more of Scotland’s spectacular scenery continues.
You will be met by a chauffeur at your hotel, they will then transfer you to airport for your onward flight or to any city centre location by Private Chauffeur Transfer.
The journey south to Glasgow or Edinburgh you will pass through more stunning scenery as you wind your way through the Cairngorms National Park and the picturesque villages dotted along the way like Dunkeld and Blairgowrie.
